Turbo Project [3SGE to 3SGTE 400WHP]

hello guys i am about to start work on a project very soon. i am opening this thread that i can share my experience with all of you and keep you guys updated about this project.Besides that its a big project for me i dont think i can handle it alone so i need your advice, suggestion, technical support and most big thing mental support and best wishes from all of u.

The car is no other then Toyota vista with a swapped 3SG-E engine.Wbd ppl know the owner very well so no description needed. lets move on to project objectives.


stage 1: convert 3SGE engine to 3SGTE stock performance

stage 2: build the body strength and visual mod(not my work)

stage 3: change engine internals to handle the target power (450 BHP+)

now this june i am going to work on most challenging work converting a NA engine to forced induction. most annoying and though work is choosing right parts for this conversion.there are lots of parts are available but you have to match parts no for it and trust me its not easy at all finding parts no without knowing about engine or with out looking at engine. the biggest problem was for me to choose a turbo header for 3SGE. I couldn't find any so i planed for a custom made turbo manifold which one already has been ordered and gonna ship direct to bangladesh. hope to receive that end of 1st week of june by that time i will work on my favourite Greddy Emanage ultimate.

Power without control is nothing.Did you know Toyota had to build a different chassis for turbo mr2s (sw22)? Vista might seem like a big bad host but eventually the body is going to contort like a dead worm under the sun.450bhp is no joke.If you want to protect you investment get the right shit.

I'd suggest you get a stabilizer bar,fender braces,shock tower plate,sub-frame reinforcement(5 point min) and a high quality after market strut brace.And of course then there's the suspension.Just because everyone else is getting Tein doesn't mean you have to get one too (even though its ...awesome).Cusco's are really good ,they'll give you performance for the buck,plus they are extremely durable or you can get Tokico or Tanabe too...

Oh yeah...the video sucks.You can't put on the Teriyaki boys unless there are japanese chicks with school girl outfits in the vicinity.There should be a law made about it.
