No specifics on what luxury cars will be classified as actual luxury cars. Anything Mercedes, BMW, Lexus etc...will be classified as luxury as far as I can understand.

One BARVIDA spokesman told that slashed supplementary duty (45% to 30%) on 1000-1500cc cars wont make a big difference to car market price. Buyers might save max around 80000 tk and still a Probox will cost around 10 lac, he added.

1501-2000 cc 209%
2001-2700 cc 438%
2701-4000 cc 520% (not sure)
4001- Above dont even want to know

BD NEWS gave wrong information on 1501-2000 cc vehicle duty change, its still 209%

oh also they have restricted 60% duty on hybrid cars only up to 2000 cc hybrid vehicles.....
